The next phase of Outpost 79 began at Desmonds Tavern on Thursday November 16, where we opened the night and were followed by the Frank Ocasio Brothers Band. It was Jay’s first show EVER, and he had a lot of people there to see the occasion, including Mrs. Galano herself! Russ of course was playing his first show with OP79, but for him it was also a big night because he hadn’t played a show in 5 years! Everyone did well and it was a great time for the audience also, especially for those who stuck around to see the Ocasio brothers play after us – very cool mix of funk, blues, and rock. Our show opened with the debut of “Shakedown City”, the first new song on the setlist since March. Once again Desmonds was a fun time for all!
