It was a great night of rock at Blackthorn 51 as we were band #3 for the Sponge show. Nice crowd, and several other great local bands: Enemy of the People, Salvage, Aoeria, Black Circle Project, and King to Burn joined us on the opening bill, and we made some friends from that bunch as most of us stuck around to see Sponge rock the stage, who opened with my favorite of their songs, “Wax Ecstatic”. We weren’t at our most efficient, though, and ended up getting our set cut off by one song, so we were unable to play “Bad Melanie” as our ending song. But it was fun anyway!
