Rob Donner

Rob grew up in Santa Barbara, California, going to Dos Pueblos High School and UCSB.  Soon after UCSB he joined a band called Redrum, with whom he would play the old venues in Los Angeles: Gazzarri’s, the Whisky A Go Go, Coconut Teazer, FM Station.  Only the Whisky is still extant.  In 1997 he moved to New York and has remained on the east coast ever since, despite an In N Out Burger addiction that requires him to visit California several times a year.  Rob plays several basses, all left-handed: a Rickenbacker 4003 MidnightGlo, a G&L 2000 that he had custom painted by Pat Sims that is unique and looks awesome, and a Jackson Butterbean bass that he found at Drum City in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, of all places.  He uses Couch guitar straps and plays a Hartke amp when not using the backline setup.

Wish Rob a happy birthday on July 12.
